Okay so your e2160 was running around 488 MHz FSB IIRC.

Did you try just jumping 20MHz on FSB> 501 tends to work when 480-500 does not.
You should have straps on your board too IIRC.. did you leave it when you upped the clocks.. or did you loosen it?
Difference between cheap Biostar boards and high end is usually not much... it is something manufacturers figured out a little later.
This is old as info and im sure most of the 775 clockers have considered it and saw a reason not to mention it. Something I am overlooking.
P45 relaxing PLs should do well over 500 on high end air. 600 maybe. 700+ you will need advanced cooling.
